After living like a local in Reno for two weeks, I feel Reno is underrated. Although it’s not as glamourous as Las Vegas, the local parks are pretty and peaceful. Its scenic sites and views are not as stunning as Lake Tahoe, but they are much less crowded and more accessible.
After 7 months of shelter-in-place, I was itchy to travel but also too scared to use any public transportation. So in late October 2020, I planned a 4-day road trip to Lake Tahoe with Ariel, about 4 hours of drive from South Bay.
I had a semi-getaway in Sonoma and Napa area in March 2021. In my opinion, Sonoma and Napa don’t have breathtaking sceneries like Lake Tahoe or other areas in the Bay Area. But they are humble, quiet, low-key, and peaceful.
As my first trip to Europe, I picked Italy and only Italy as my destination because of the richness in its culture and art. Unsurprisingly, Italy immersed me in its beauty with its history, museums, arts, and food.
I extended my outdoor activities to the sky this year! My best friend and I went paragliding to celebrate her birthday. It felt surreal to fly in the sky overlooking the California coastline. It’s totally worth the price and my drive to SoCal.
I went to Keystone CO for skiing in February but also planned other fun activities. It turned out I really enjoyed my company as well as Keystone. I will be back for summer adventures for sure!
I went to Lassen Volcanic and Crater Lake National Parks in early June 2022. It’s my first RV trip. So instead of trying to hit all touristy spots, I took my time and learnt how to enjoy living in an RV. The itinerary was pretty loose and casual. I enjoyed the drive from the Golden State to the Beaver State.
